Waste fees or tipping fees are charged separate to the base rental charge of $330.
The disposal rate is charged @ 0.35 cents per kilogram.

Need extra time with the skip bin?

Additional charges of $15 per day apply for hires extending beyond the standard 7 days.

Example Calculation For 1300 Kilograms of Waste, Plus 14 Days Of Additional Hire:

Base Rate Skip Bin Hire (7 days included): Cost: $330 Delivered.
Disposal Fees for 1300 kilograms: 1300 × 0.35/kg = $455.
Additional Days Hire (14 days): 14 days × $15/day = $210.
Total Cost Breakdown: Skip bin hire at $330 base rental charge, plus disposal fees of $455, plus 14 additional days of hire $210. Total Cost = $995.

Standard 7-Day Hire:

Your skip bin hire cost includes standard 7 days of hire, which covers delivery, pick-up, and use of the skip bin. During this period, you have the flexibility to manage your waste disposal needs. Should you require the skip bin for additional days, please be aware that extra charges will apply.

Separate Billing for Waste Disposal Fees:

We want to be transparent about our pricing structure. While your skip bin hire covers delivery, pick-up, and the initial 7 days, disposal of waste (tipping fees) is billed separately. This ensures that you only pay for the weight of the waste you generate. The disposal fees are calculated at a rate of 35 cents per kilogram.

Estimating Disposal Fees:

To help you anticipate disposal fees accurately, we recommend estimating the weight of your waste. If you’re uncertain about the weight, our team is here to assist you. Keep in mind that different materials have varying weights, so being aware of the types of waste you’re disposing of can aid in a more precise estimate.

We’ve revamped our pricing structure for construction waste and demolition waste skips to tackle a common challenge, overloaded skip bins leading to unexpectedly high disposal fees. This change is driven by the need for transparency, cost control, and fairness in pricing.

We have changed our approach to pricing construction waste, trade waste and building waste skip bin hire for a few reasons listed below:

The Challenge:

In the past, we noticed a common issue – customers unintentionally or intentionally overload our skip bins, leading to unexpectedly high disposal fees. We understand that construction projects have budget constraints, and we have developed an alternative method to be fair for both sides of the project.

Old Pricing Issues:

Take our 5m³ mobile skip bin, we hire out that skip bin at $770 fixed price. Some ended up costing us $700 to $900 plus of disposal fees due to massive overloading. This results in huge losses for our small business, as you must take into account labour driver rates, diesel, tolls, maintenance and the list goes on.

The Solution:

So, why the change? We aim to give you transparency and control over costs for a smoother experience with our skip bin hire service. We offer skip bins for recyclables such as, brick, concrete and masonry.

The New Deal:

Effective from the 1st January 2024, our skip bin hire charges will consist of three components:

Base Rental Fee: Covers delivery, pick-up and standard 7 days hire period.
Disposal Fees: Which are tied to weight of the waste, also a weighbridge docket will be supplied.
Additional charges apply for hires extending beyond the standard 7 days. This fee has been added to manage projects which run for extended periods, such as 6 weeks to 12 weeks.
