Demolition Waste – Not to be confused with “Trade Waste”

“Demolition Waste” is a combination of light weight waste/rubbish mixed with a masonry combination usually from a construction or demolition project.

Consisting a combination of/or bulk amounts of; joinery, plasterboard, rubble, bricks, concrete, tile screed and bedding, bathroom and kitchen demolition.

We strongly advise, if you are able to accept delivery of a standard skip bin for “Demolition Waste” please do so as our service will not be the most economical option for you. Trade Waste

“Trade Waste” is a combination of light weight building material and waste, usually consisting of off-cuts of timber, joinery, plasterboard, tiles, pallets, cardboard, metals, buckets, cement bags, rubble (limited), packaging etc.

How big is a 6m3 skip bin?

Mattress + 110 (cot, single, double, queen, king)

Tyres + $77 (Standard car and truck tyres)

Other + $33 (paint tins, gas bottles, extinguishers)

Overload Weight Fee: $33 per 100 kilograms or $330 per ton

This fee will be charged over the selected trailer bin hire cost if the weight exceeds our set 1000 kilogram included in your price.

Weighbridge dockets will be supplied upon request.

As way of example (4 cubic metre mobile skip bin – household junk rate)

• 4m3 skip bin at $550 (household junk rate)
• Total waste disposed – 1200 kilograms at 200 kilograms over.
• We cover the 1000 kilograms of waste.
• The additional 200 kilograms would be covered by the hirer at $33 per 100 kilograms.
• Result: $550 for a 4 cubic metre mobile skip bin, plus $66 for the additional 200 kilograms taking the price to $616 for 1200 kilograms of waste disposed.
• Please note the maximum weight limit is 1500 kilograms for all our trailer skip bins.

Included in your hire is a full week (7 days), if you require the extra day(s), a fee of $33 per day will be charged.

Liquid Waste: Includes all types of paints, oils, fuels, chemicals (cleaning liquids), food and beverages, bathroom and kitchen and laundry products. Please note – some items can be collected and disposed for additional fees.

Flammable Liquid: Fuel, diesel, petrol and oil.

Asbestos: If located in our trailer skip bins reload fees will apply.

Food Waste: All types of food and beverages are not permitted in the skip bin, being new unopened or discarded food. No animal parts or whole.

Dangerous Items: Includes fire extinguishers, gas bottles, compressed gas canisters, all types of batteries and fuel containers.

Absolutely No Asbestos is to be placed in the skip bin, if you are unsure about the material you are working with, play-it-safe and do not put it in the skip bin. Disposing Asbestos contaminated waste is very costly and all additional fees will be charged to the hirer.

If any Asbestos is located in the trailer skip bin and the waste transfer station does not accept the waste (due to Asbestos contamination), all the contents / waste will be reloaded for a fee of $375 which will be passed on to the hirer.
The waste will then be taken to a landfill which accepts Asbestos contaminated waste. Disposal fees will apply at a minimum of $440 which will be passed-on to the hirer.

As way of example (5 cubic metre mobile skip bin)

• A 5m3 skip bin at $770 (construction and demolition waste rate)
• Reload fee of $375 (If the waste is dumped in the waste transfer station)
• Dispose 1 ton contaminated waste at $440 (minimum charge of 1000 kilograms)
• Result: A contaminated 5 cubic metre skip bin would cost you a minimum of $1585 if Asbestos is located in the skip bin.
• Test report and photographs will be supplied.
• Please be aware of Asbestos on your site. We are here to help you with all your Asbestos needs.

Please Note – We enforce a zero tolerance level for Asbestos in loads, we handle Asbestos very seriously and all care must be taken if you have Asbestos on your site. Asbestos exclusive trailer skip bins are available on special requests, please call our team for more information and rates.
